Styled Simply: Inviting Modern Kitchens

Modern kitchen ideas and design.

Confession: I probably spend 25% of the day looking at Pinterest and gathering design ideas. Many of us domaybe not with quite the same time commitment — it's easy to get lost. I wish I had the budget and time to make my home look exactly like all those designer photos but I don't. So, I simply take cues from these inspirations...slowly but surely achieving the look I love.

Often this means making just a little spot in our kitchen or living room look just a like a little selection from a pinned photo and this makes me happy. I might not have those perfectly modern cabinets or impeccably laid tile floors, but what I do have is clean counter space. It can be the little changes that, over time amount to a cohesive, inspired look.

So how do you get there? Hopefully with a little help from this shop. I pick and choose items for ER that I would want in my own home. What you see stocked on our shelves are the goods that I love, that I believe in, that I add to the kitchen counter in my home.

White Walls

A simple hallway to welcome you home.

Bright white spaces have been a favorite of mine for quite some time now. Ask me to paint our walls anything but white and I miiight give you some serious side-eye. It's no big secret, by keeping the paint color and big details basic, this gives you the flexibility to change design + styles over time...like that time I added a throw pillow with some bright pink stitching to the living room couch (trust me, I really do not want to remember). So for now, I'll leave you with some of my favorite simple spaces of the moment.

Dining room chairs make the statement here.A warm and cozy monochrome living room.A calming bedroom with soft white linens and simple details.A dream bathroom with a big soaking tub.

Our Story So Far

Julia Reynolds for Everything Ren

As many of you may know, at the end of March after nearly three and a half years since our storefront opening, we closed our brick-and-mortar shop, The Shop in East Liberty. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely sad to close the store (I definitely miss the daily interactions and smiling faces), but now, we are excited to begin anew online as Everything Ren.

If you've been following along, you might have noticed that we've begun to refocus our collection, gradually restocking many our most favorite items and adding new, modern designs. As owner and curator of sorts, my focus is bringing you items that I love and would want to have in my home. My commitment to quality is as strong as it ever was: everything in this shop is carefully chosen keeping in mind simplicity, quality, and how it was created.

Over the next few months, our collection will continue to grow and evolve, adding new work from amazingly talented, independent makers. I hope to see you again soon. Thanks for reading + happy shopping!
